“Honoring the Past, Leading the Present, Changing the Future”
This project centers around a book of the same title that documents the contributions of African American Aviators to aviation and society. The project also focuses on getting today’s youth interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) through aviation. MAAA will also build a platform for mentorship, scholarship, and leadership.
Our lives are full of EVENTS to include periods of adversity and within those EVENTS there are opportunities.
The book reflects on how THE EVENT (getting cancer and a crippling back injury) changed my life for the better and allowed me to find that there is “Always Opportunity in Adversity.”
